Farm Mural

I was commissioned to paint a mural for a local cigar shop, and given total control on what to create. After researching and sketching out some ideas, I decided to go with a farm scene depicting the stages of tobacco growth and curing. The customer wanted the mural on corrugated metal, which ended up being a major challenge to work with. Adapting to that challenge, I displayed my rough outline via projector, and traced the lines in order to keep the perspective and lines in check. Other tricky complications would come up periodically, including harsh weather and poor lighting, which I would have to brainstorm creative ways to overcome them. The project took about 3 months total, and Iā€™m happy to that the project resulted in success and a happy customer, despite some major challenges.
